SLGE staff hosted a free webinar on Wednesday, February 6, to discuss the findings from a new report on financial literacy programs for local government employees. The webinar reviewed key survey findings and present seven recommendations to strengthen employee financial literacy programs. Click here to download the report or presentation slides.
“Local government employees deliver critical services to taxpayers – from public safety to health care to education,” said report co-author Rivka Liss-Levinson. “Providing financial literacy programs is not just the right thing to do for employees – it also makes good business sense. Workers who are in control of their finances are less distracted and can better focus on their job.”
