Public Sector Workforce 2030 Summit: Mark Your Calendars!

On September 27th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, SLGE, the National League of Cities and ICMA-RC will host a summit on ‘Public Sector Workforce 2030: Planning for the Next Generation of State and Local Government Employees.’ Panel and attendee discussions will focus on rethinking retirement, workforce trends, and health and wellness benefits. The event will be geared toward a diverse mix of elected officials, government agency managers, retirement administrators, HR professionals, labor representatives, and members of the research community.

SLGE participated in two podcasts around the study on the effect of auto-enrollment and deferral rates on public sector employee decision-making in supplemental retirement plans. These are available through Money Life and the Weekly Pulse. The study was also covered by MarketWatch, Pensions&Investments, and InsuranceNewsNet.

The Center’s workforce research was featured in a Route Fifty article on state and local government compensation, with police recruitment data cited by InPublicSafety, and succession planning research covered by Western Michigan Business News.

Financial planning and literacy research was cited by a trade publication for North Carolina credit unions.
